Gretchen Morrissey is an multi media artist and surface designer based in Durham, North Carolina. Deeply rooted in design and environmental issues, her concern for the environment is made evident in her dimensional mixed media installations, and surface designs.

Part textile designer, part printmaker, Gretchen takes elemental forms of the natural world into her studio and carefully transforms them by drawing, printing, dyeing, layering, knotting, and collaging them into fine art installations for public and private spaces. Always experimenting with new ways of combining processes and techniques, from the traditional
