Kristin Bennett was born in San Diego, California, during the awesome 80's, but moved to Charlotte, NC, at a very young age and considers this lovely state her own.  She sealed her fate as a content-to-be-starving artist when she entered Northwest School of the Arts straight out of elementary school and became a visual art major, a situation that didn't alter all the way through college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. 

She's had several group- and individual exhibits since graduation in 2005, including at Carolina Silver (Raleigh and Cary locations),  and at the Open Eye Cafe in Carrboro.  She was 1st runner-up in the Carolina Juried Art Show in 2004, and in 2008 she won a purchase award and honorable mention at the 14th Annual Cary Juried Art Show.

Kristin spends her time painting at her studio, muraling in private homes, photographing weddings and wildlife, knitting, illustrating, and all-around Arting. Embracing the notion that money is overrated, she is happily married to a high school teacher who was also her college sweetheart.  She lives in glorious Durham, NC, with her husband and husky.
