Matt Tomko is a veteran painter who has operated a studio at the Golden Belt Campus since 2010. His work features household pets, nature, and wildlife in which he portrays an intense connection to the natural environment. The varied personalities of his (often furry) subjects illuminate through his realistic depictions. When painting, Matt can spend hours on fine details that highlight the intricate characteristics of animal feathers, fur, and eyes. His goal is to ensure he is satisfied with the feeling the work will create. Matt is a member of the North Carolina Wildlife Artist Association and his paintings are in private collections across the United States, England, and China.
