Erica is a fiber artist and a graphic designer from Durham, North Carolina. For the past 20 years, Erica has tried lots of different art forms but quilting and fiber arts quickly became her favorite. With a love of handbags and other fashion accessories, Erica began to make bags using quilting, painting and other techniques. Journals, wall hangings and hats are just a few of the things she enjoys making now.
"I love the versatility of fabric and I continue to experiment with its wide range of colors and textures. I’m intrigued by the idea of reuse and recycling and I am always looking for materials and new ways to transform old clothing and other everyday items into new and beautiful objects."
Erica's work has been showcased at shows and craft fairs including Durham Craft Market, CenterFest, Apple Chill Festival, Scrap Exchange, Durham Art Walk, Hayti Center, NC Museum of History and Duke University.
