Judy Keene is an oil painter working in abstraction, expressionist and plein air landscapes. She has also studied classical realist techniques and copied an Ingres portrait while painting in the Louvre. Before becoming a full-time artist, she majored in art history and worked in a number of museums, including the Henry Gallery at the University of Washington (Seattle), the Freer Gallery of Art at the Smithsonian Institution and the North Carolina Museum of Art.
