In Room 100, the Durham Art Guild presents Gregg Kemp and his Terra Incognita Series. This show is a visual presentation of "breaking out of the canvas." Gregg's pieces possess a dynamic that is playful and at times disorienting. For effect, Gregg uses images from a pinhole camera in his work. Labour Love After Hours with Kim Arrington

Kim Arrington sang publicly at 4 years old. By 7 years old, Kim was writing her own songs. In May 2008, Kim released her debut CD of soul music, “First Love Note of Kim Arrington”, which United Kingdom-based Soul Brother Records described as, “Very good, lyrically- strong, independent soul album featuring real instruments from North Carolina singer-songwriter Kim Arrington, who possesses a really strong, unique voice.“ She has sung for tens of thousands in the United States, Italy, Switzerland, England, France, Austria, and Germany. NPR’s Frank Stasio declares, “Kim Arrington proves her pipes are as soulful as her prose.” In 20l2, Kim will release her debut jazz CD, “Getting II Yes”.

to engage with you about their work. Circumventing Third Friday crowds, you can shop in earnest for that unique art piece, photograph, necklace or bag and learn about the artists' inspirations.
