Thirty-five open-air work-only artist studios wrap around a central gallery space in Building 3 of Golden Belt’s campus.
This architecturally stunning historic building has been transformed into individual and group work-only artist studios that range in size from 168 square feet to more than 600 square feet. Larger studio spaces are great for artist cooperatives.
All studios feature concrete floors, great natural light, and generous wall space. Large equipment such as kilns and printing presses can be accommodated. A central gallery and monthly Third Friday Durham events ensure the studio building is a vibrant hub for creating and viewing art.
The studios are filled with local, regional and national artists working in a range of mediums—photography, painting, mixed media, jewelry, wood-working, and textile design. All interested artists must submit materials for review to the Golden Belt Artists Review Committee.
