On the Horizon

“On the Horizon features works by Golden Belt Artists Carlyn Wright Eakes and Bonnie Wright as they explore the expanses of our emotional and natural landscapes using translucent encaustic wax and luscious pigments. On the Horizon evokes the sentiment of gazing forward at landscapes we anticipate and yet cannot see clearly, much like the imagined divide between ocean and sky. The variety of pigments and textures allude to the ways in which we approach these future landscapes with a myriad of emotions from fear and trepidation to longing and hope.”
